If Fall Guys proves two things, it's that people will play anything and gamers are total dicks. You might not think that a multiplayer only game that sees you competing against 59 other human players would be chill, but Fall Guys offers up a perfect balance of skill, strategy, randomness and luck. This means one team ends up struggling against twice as many opponents only to be eliminated by no fault of their own and that made me dread these games.

Whether you're jumping in for minutes at a time a few times a day, sitting down to play for an hour, or playing just one more round before realizing you've been playing all evening, Fall Guys is an absolute blast. It's the type of game that anyone of any age and any skill level can pick up, play and enjoy it.

But in many ways it's the animation and physics which help the game graduate beyond being a transitory pleasure; running, tripping, and jumping around the various levels is a gut-bustingly hilarious exercise, such that even when you get thrown 50 feet by a spinning platform or dog-piled by a fleet of your rivals, it's Fall Guys Rage Moments tough to ever feel mad or short-changed by the outcome.

You'd think a game about blob people running around playing games would be harmless, but you'd be wrong. How much longevity players can get out of it will vary from person to person, but as someone who had essentially called it quits on the all-too-samey battle royale genre, I'm having a ridiculously fun time right here and now.

Most games last four or five rounds, depending on how many players are eliminated by the third round. But despite all of this, Fall Guys is flat out fun. Fall Guys is not a game of skill. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout flings hordes of contestants together online in a mad dash through rounds of escalating chaos until a single victor remains.

These events are tons of fun; even after playing individual ones multiple times. You could go back and perfect strategies for them of course, but over a few hours of gameplay it can feel a little bit samey. Sadly that can't be said for the Team-based games.
